Last year, I attended a meeting where the current Commissioner of Precinct 3 spoke. After his presentation, I asked him specific questions out of concern for the stewardship of the current Commissioners Court. Afterward, I was approached by people in attendance and asked to consider challenging the Commissioner of Precinct 3. I consulted with my family and made the decision that the only way to ensure real change on the court actually happens is to step forward and lead a campaign for the change that is needed. Poll after poll shows there is general discontent with government at all levels. If you have spent time chatting with people on the street, at work or at church, as I have done, then you know this to be true. I am running this campaign for change because of my strong concern for the misdirection of our county government, the need for fresh ideas and a new approach to the problems facing our county. Precinct 3, located in Northeast Tarrant County extending west through the City of Haslet, deserves an elected official who will set aside his existing business and devote his full attention to the constituents' needs as a full-time County Commissioner. What the Commissioners Court demands is someone who will ask the hard questions and focus intently on the issues that pertain to the Court itself.
